Every single time I go to Worden Hall, I get the soppressata deep dish pizza. They’re located right across the street from the Broadway T stop, and have a small patio that’s dog friendly. We’ve brought our frenchie a few times and though the patio only has a few tables, with reservations we haven’t had to wait during both brunch and dinner.
The deep dish pizzas are a very generous portion – I usually get 3 meals out of one pizza. The soppressata pizza is loaded with garlic sausage, broccoli rabe, mozzarella, and provolone. So. Good. And again, so much food. I don’t even like broccoli rabe, but it compliments the meat & cheese well. The dough has a good hearty and crusty deep dish taste and texture, and holds the weight of all of the toppings well. If you’re into craft beers, they have a huge selection that can get kind of pricey. If you’re on a budget though, they offer cheap pitchers of PBR.
Fun story: the first time I came to Worden Hall I was brunching with friends, and later my boyfriend ate my leftover pizza without asking. I was sad and the pizza was so delicious that he went the next day and got another pizza for us to share at home. Win-win. If you’re in the mood for deep dish pizza in Boston, this is the place to get it.
