Screamin’ Sicilian Bessie’s Revenge frozen pizza is like cheese pizza on crack. This pizza has five different kinds of cheese from Wisconsin – mozzarella, white cheddar, parmesan, romano, and buffalo mozzarella. They brand themselves as a frozen pizza company that goes the extra mile, but how did this one actually stack up?
As you can gather from my picture above, the buffalo mozzarella didn’t cook at the same pace as the other cheese. Admittedly, I forgot to set a timer and don’t know how long the pizza was in the oven, but it was on the verge of burning. The crust is kind of a let down and I’ve definitely had better. If you told me that this is the same crust Tombstone uses, I’d believe you. The sauce promised to be zesty and it tasted alright but I wish there was more of it on there. As for the star of the pizza, the cheese, it does taste good despite not being evenly cooked. I added a little garlic salt and ate almost the whole thing. As a bonus, it’s not the most calorie heavy pizza out there.
While I don’t know if I’d get Bessie’s Revenge again, I want to try some other varieties of Screamin’ Sicilian. The Holy Pepperoni looks right up my alley, but wasn’t in store when I looked. Hopefully I have better luck next time!
