So as a fun little experiment tonight I decided to cook a hot pocket in the oven. I’ve never done it before. I bought Hot Pockets when I was at Target like a month ago and for obvious reasons haven’t touched them. Why not make use of them on this fine night as I watch a Netflix documentary about living off the grid?
It should be noted that I got the pepperoni Hot Pockets with the buttery garlic crust. I think there’s another kind out there. Anyway…. this is awesome. I feel like I’m an idiot for never having baked my Hot Pockets in the oven. Can anybody tell me if they’ve ever done this? I feel crazy. Now I get why they always look way better in commercials than I ever remembered them being. The crust is crispy and garlicky, the pepperonis cooked sneaky well, and the cheese/sauce combo is blah like it always is. All in all, this was pretty great and way exceeded expectations considering what it is. Points ultimately taken off because it took a little while to cook, and is complete garbage food. I think I classed it up a little by eating it with a fork and knife.
