Freschetta Brick Oven Crust Pepperoni Pizzas are one of my favorite frozen pizza options. Freschetta’s brick oven pizzas are definitely on the higher end of the frozen pizza spectrum, which makes it a great option for date night at home. This isn’t a frozen pizza to eat when you’re hungover or want to have a fat day – it’s a little more special than that, and should be treated as such.
The “brick oven” crust is square shaped, which immediately sets it apart from the rest, and thin. There’s no rising crust at all, just a solid, thin crust with the right amount of chew that holds up to the generous amount of toppings. The sauce is spicy and my one critique would be that it’s applied a little unevenly- here and there, you get some sad spots where the sauce didn’t make it.
The pepperonis are thick cut and cook nicely, but what makes this frozen pizza really special is the cheese blend. The cheese is a blend of parmesan, and mozzarella, but I also add grated parmesan and romano to really bring the pizza to the next level. The cheese goes edge to edge so that you rarely have a bite that’s just crust. A+ job, Freschetta.
