Recently I was invited to Brownstone, right near Back Bay station, to sample their menu. Little did I know that I was about to discover one of my favorite pizzas in Boston so far!
The beautiful pizza we got to try was the Gianni flatbread. Not gonna lie, I was a little apprehensive because up until this point I still wasn’t 100% sure if I liked figs or what they tasted like. Luckily though, the fig jam base was the perfect compliment to the goat cheese, pear, sea salt, and truffle oil that adorned this flatbread. They really nailed the combo of flavors with this one! Writing about it now makes me want to go back for another ASAP.
In addition to the flatbread, we also were able to try the crispy cauliflower, deviled eggs, and beets four ways. These options might not be a favorite for the pickier people in your party (like me,) but their menu is also full of classics like mac & cheese and burgers. Dessert (not pictured) is also to die for… definitely save room for the bread pudding!
